Apple announced the release of beta version of Safari 4 earlier this year, what was touted as world's fastest and most innovative web browser.
Safari 4 is built upon cutting edge browsing technologies and java script engine which makes it about 3 times faster than the competitor Microsoft IE 7 and Firefox 3 browsers.
Apart from the significant speed improvement, Safari 4 boasts about the innovative history browse feature. Apple has made browsing through the last visited sites extremely simple and visually stunning. The web pages appear like a dark of cards or album pages waiting for your touch to pop up to the front.
Safari 4 makes history look so beautiful that you don't want to move forward!
“Apple created Safari to bring innovation, speed and open standards back into web browsers, and today it takes another big step forward,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “Safari 4 is the fastest and most efficient browser for Mac and Windows, with great integration of HTML 5 and CSS 3 web standards that enables the next generation of interactive web applications.”
With support for advanced CSS effects that utilize precision masks, reflections and gradients etc. to create stunning web graphics, Apple's Safari 4 is setting new standards for web browsers.
Developers will love the new built-in debug tool for testing and tweaking a website for improved performance.
Other new features in Safari 4 include Top Sites that offer quick access to most frequented websites, improved tabs, address and search keyword auto-completion.
